How do I play HIT SEND?

Each player gets 5 text cards. Player 1 picks a letter and number card (e.g. M and 3). They scroll to their 3rd contact under M (their ex). Other players put down a text card. The “DM Don”, on Player 1's right, chooses which text you should send. If you send the Don’s chosen text, 'Do you ever fantasise about me?’, then you win the point. If you get a text back, you win another point. If your opponent backs out and refuses to send the message, then you win a point too. First to win 5 cards, is the Message Mogul (the winner). You also win if you are blocked by any recipient. Each game lasts 30-45 minutes or up to several days if you include late replies.

What’s the origin story?

The game was originally inspired by a lady called Karen whose house burnt down in 2014. She would message her friends, saying that her home was destroyed. The replies she received were not what she was expecting. Everybody thought she was joking. This sparked a menacingly great idea, which her son and daughter developed into a game…

How did The Sidemen get involved?

Hit Send was presented to the Sidemen in 2023. They loved the idea and embraced the message mayhem, proclaiming it to be one of the best games they’d ever played. With games at the epicentre of Sidemen content, the boys felt that Hit Send fit was the perfect risk to take. Eager to get involved, the Sidemen put their own, horribly brilliant spin on the game, twisting the rules and writing their own set of finger-twitchingly awful messages.
